The day started slowly, with a bit of puttering around the trailer—mostly coaxing the cupboards back into some semblance of order after our rather enthusiastic ride across New Brunswick on the 108. Everything had shifted just enough to be annoying, so a tidy‑up was definitely needed.
The highlight of the morning was a gaggle of Canadian geese strolling through the campground, happily foraging and grazing as if they owned the place—which, judging by the amount of goose poop on the ground, they probably do.

By mid‑afternoon we headed out to deal with the propane situation. We quickly learned that filling wasn’t an option; only swapping. Joe was not thrilled. The replacement tank looked a little too “well‑lived,” and its shape means the sensor can’t be refitted properly. Not exactly a satisfying trade. Still, the errand did lead us into Sainte‑Agatha‑des‑Monts, where we found a coffee shop and wandered around the town center. The lake was pretty, the shops were an eclectic mix (all closed, naturally), and the church was surprisingly large for such a small place. The statue of Jesus even had a light‑bulb halo giving the whole scene a quietly quirky charm. If the road out of the campground weren’t in such rough shape, I’d have driven back tonight just to see it lit.

Tomorrow is a long driving day, so we’ve done a bit of prep and are aiming to roll out at 9am—optimistic, organised, and hoping the cupboards stay put for at least a few hours.
